Nos 7 and 9: early to mid C19. 2 storeys. Slate hipped roofs. Overhanging
bracketed eaves. Brown brick front.
No 7: 3 window bays. On 1st floor, a central round-headed window with stuccoed
archivolt flanked to either side by a rectangular headed window with stuccoed
architrave. On ground floor, flight of 6 steps leads up to central pilastered
porch with deep entablature. To either side, a sash window with stuccoed archivolt
and cornice on brackets. No 9 has 2 window bays and centre doorway. Sash windows
with some glazing bars missing. Rubbed brick voussoirs. Flight of steps leads
up to pilastered porch. 6-panelled door. Rear walls have weatherboarded cladding.
No 11: C19 with later C19 shop front. 1 window bay in a continuation of frontage
to No 9. Sash window 3 panes wide above; below, a 6-panelled door with top 2
panels cut away and glazed. To north of this an east-west wing breaks forward
to street; this has a separate hipped slate roof and a slightly higher frontage.
In south return, one sash window 3 panes wide at east end. In street front,
no windows to 1st floor which overhangs and is supported by wooden posts of later
C19 open shop front; shutters, doors and blue and white tiles to this remain.
On fascia are written the words "Parker & Sons Estabd 1896". North return is
rendered. 2 sash windows.

The Water Pavilion at Carshalton house and boundary wall to Carshalton House
in West Street form a group with Nos 3 to 11 (odd) and No 15 West Street with
Nos 2 to 12 and 18 to 24 (even) West Street and with The Old Rectory, Festival
Walk.
