Built 1864. Architect E S Hayward. 2 storeys and basement. Slate roof with
deep, bracketed eaves. Stucco. Detached. Continuous drip band to ground floor
windows, cill band above. Four sash windows front and rear. Plain door with
rectangular light over. Contains many original interior features. Built for
Miss Thornton daughter of John Thornton of the Clapham Sect.
