Temple in grounds of
Mount Clare

Stone. Circa 1762-69 Greek Doric style, modelled on illustration from Stuart
and Revett: 'The Antiquities of Athens'. Sculptured panels in portico and
interior and coved frescoed ceiling.
Brought here from Bessborough House in 1913 and thus was possibly designed by
Sir William Chambers the architect of that building.
