Pair of grand houses. Early to mid C19. Stucco. Slate mansards. Each three
windows wide. 3 storeys, attic, mansard attic and basement. Entrance to No 1 in
single storey wing to left; entrance to No 2 in projecting porch to return.
Channelling to ground floor. Round headed ground floor windows . First floor
continuous cast iron balconies of anthemion design. Square headed windows,
sashed, mostly plate glass; French casements to first floor. Central first floor
windows pedimented and architraved. Cornice above second floor. Returns to
right and left with coupled Corinthian pilasters. Cast iron spearhead area
railings.
