Terraced houses, No. 69 with shop. c.1800 (No. 69 reconstructed) Portman
Estate development. Stock brick with stucco ground floors and No. 68
entirely stuccoed; concealed slate roofs. No. 66 of 5 storeys, the
remainder 4 storeys, on basements. 3-window wide fronts except No. 69
with 2 windows and 3-window return to New Quebec Street. Semicircular
arched doorways to right, Nos. 67 and 68 with rusticated architraves, the
blocks of No. 68 vermiculated; panelled doors and fanlights. Recessed
sashes, under flat gauged arches (of red brick on Nos. 66 and 67) to
upper floors and No. 68 with channelled stucco voussoirs. No. 69 has
plain shop front under entablature-fascia. Stone coped stucco parapets
except for No. 69 with cornice and blocking course. Nos. 66 to 68 with
continuous, cast iron, patterned balconies to 1st floor (plain to
No. 68). Cast iron area railings with flambé vase finials. No. 69 has a
cast iron relief plaque of a lion on New Quebec Street return, reset from
a demolished house in Robert Adam Street.
