Terraced houses. c.1810-20, as part of J.T. Parkinson's Montagu Square
Portman Estate development. Stock brick with channelled stucco ground
floor; concealed slate roofs. 4 storeys and basement. 2-window wide
fronts. Semicircular arched doorways to left; panelled doors with reeded
heads and jambs and radial patterned fanlights. Recessed sashes, glazing
bars intact apart from No. 27, under flat gauged arches to upper floors.
Stuccowork finished off with plat band at 1st floor level. Parapets with
stone copings. Continuous, cast iron, Gothick patterned balconies to 1st
floor. Cast iron area railings with urn finials.
