Terraced houses. c.1810-20, as part of J.T. Parkinson's Montagu Square
Portman Estate development. Stock brick; concealed slate roofs. 4
storeys and basement. 2-window wide fronts. Semicircular arched
doorways to left, No. 16 retaining radial pattern; panelled doors in
reeded jambs and fanlights. Recessed sashes with stuccoed reveals under
flat gauged arches. Stucco plat band to 1st floor. Stucco crowning
cornice (partly cut back) and blocking course. Continuous, cast iron,
geometric patterned balcony to 1st floor of No. 16 and wrought iron
balconettes to Nos. 12 and 14. Cast iron area railings with urn finials.
