St Anne's, Soho

Piers and urns. Urns 1677-85/6, or C18 (north one of north pair removed since
1963). Portland stone urns set on rendered piers. The urns, with carved
foliage, domed tops, fluted necks and concave square bases, are possibly those
originally on the church tower as first built to the designs of Wren or Talman
in 1677-85/6 (though not corresponding to those illustrated in Maitland).
