Pair of houses, front garden wall and gatepiers. Mid C19. Brick, stuccoed with
channelled ground floor and vermiculation to outer bays. No 42 upper floors now
rendered. Welsh slate roof. 3 storeys and basement, 6 bays. The outer bays
contain panelled doors with overlights in pilaster surrounds. Sash windows with
margin lights, glazing bars to 2nd floor. Keyed, channelled lintels to ground
floor. Architrave above, with cornices on consoles to 1st floor. Floor bands.
Cornice. Stucco balustraded front wall and gatepiers to No 40.
