Terraced town "villa". Mid to later C19 rebuilding of mews building. Stuccoed
with channelled ground floor; slate roof. Interesting case of "Regency" Revival
(or survival). 2 storeys and dormered mansard on basement. 5 windows wide.
Architraved central doorway with small balcony carried on consoles above,acting
as dentilled cornice-hood. Recessed sashes to ground and 1st floors, the
central 1st floor window round headed, and casemented dormers. String course
over ground floor window heads and cornice over ground floor and 1st floor sill
band. Moulded crowning cornice and balustraded parapet. Scrolled cast iron
balustrade to small 1st floor balcony. Cast iron tasselled spearhead finialed
area railings. Early instance of the Portland (Howard de Walden) Estate
re-introducing a domestic residential character in this professional area - a
scheme pursued on these east-west cross streets in the early 1900s.Included for
