Terraced town houses, No. 14 incorporating throughway to rear yard.
c.1811-23, as part of J.T. Parkinson's Bryanston Square Portman Estate
development. Stock brick with channelled stucco ground-floors; concealed
slate roofs. 4 storeys and basement. 3-window wide fronts flanking
2-window wide front. Semicircular arched doorways to left on Nos. 15 and
16 and to right next to throughway on No. 14; panelled doors in reeded
jambs to No. 14, and Nos. 15 and 16 with Greek Doric columns carrying
doorhead, patterned fanlights. Recessed sashes, under flat gauged arches
to upper floors. Stuccowork finished off with plat band at 1st floor
level. Crowning stucco cornice and blocking course. Continuous cast iron
Gothick patterned balconies to 1st floor. Cast iron arrow head area
railings with urn finials.
