Terraced town houses. c.1790-1800 Portman Estate development associated
with Baker Street. Stock brick, Nos. 3 and 5 with channelled stucco and
No. 7 with plain stucco ground floors; slate roofs, concealed on Nos. 1, 3
and 7. 4 storeys and basements, No. 5 with dormered mansard. 3 window
wide fronts except for 4-window front of No. 1. Semicircular arched
doorways to left; panelled doors; No. 1 with sidelights and radial
patterned fanlight; No. 3 with panelled jambs, doorhead with lion head
stops and plain fanlight; No. 5 with fluted head and jambs, plain
fanlight; No. 7 with moulded head and jambs, plain fanlight. Recessed
sashes, most with glazing bars under flat gauged red brick arches. Stucco
plat band continuous to 1st floor. Nos. 1 and 3 with stone coped
parapets; Nos. 3 and 5 with crowning stucco cornice and blocking course.
Nos. 1, 5 and 7 have continuous cast iron geometric patterned balconies to
1st floor. Cast iron area railings with urn finials.
