5.2.70 Nos. 39 and 41
Uniform terraced houses. c.1810-20 Portman Estate development, of same
build as Nos 43 and 45 q.v. Stock brick with channelled stucco ground
floor; concealed slate roofs. Semicircular arched doorways to right;
panelled doors with reeded jambs and head and patterned fanlights.
Recessed glazing bar sashes, under flat gauged arches to upper floors.
Stuccowork finished off with plat band at 1st floor level. Parapet with
coping. Continuous cast iron Gothick patterned balconies to 1st floor.
Cast iron area railings with urn finials.
