Detached villa. c1830-40 Portland Estate St John's Wood villa development.
Stucco with channelled basement; slate roof. Italianate-Grecian. 2 storeys on
semi-basement. 3 windows wide. Flight of steps up to left hand,
console-corniced and architraved doorway with panelled door and fanlight.
Recessed sashes with margin glazing, in moulded stucco architraves with
cornices on consoles to ground floor. Doric order of pilasters rising from plat
band over semi-basment to frieze beneath flat eaves of low pitched hipped roof;
flanking corniced chimney stacks. Windows have cast iron geometric patterned
guards. One bay gig house wing set back to left. Similar villa type to the
adjoining Eyre Estate.
