Semi-detached villas. c1830-40 Portland Estate St John's Wood villa
development. Stucco with channelled ground floor; slate roof.
Italianate-Grecian. 3 storeys and semi-basement. 2-window wide fronts, No 47
with low 1-window wing. Architraved doorways in outer bays approached by steps,
No 47 with canopy. Recessed sashes, those on ground floor pilastered, those on
1st floor segmental arched in architraves, eared to No 46. Cornice over ground
floor, sill bands and bracketed flat eaves to hipped roof. Flanking corniced
chimney stacks. Cast iron geometric patterned area railings. Similar villa type
to the adjoining Eyre Estate.
