Diocesan hall. 1895 to circa 1902. Bentley. Red brick. Portland stone dressings,
green slate roof. Set at right angles to roadway. End elevation with thermal
window, arched parapet and pinnacles to each side, flanked by half blind, half
openwork oculi forming flying buttresses. Projecting barrel roofed entrance to
right with carved tympanum. Buttressed flanks to auditorium, with thermal windows,
and carefully detailed Portland stone coped parapet. Interior reported by Pevsner
as having apse and tunnel vault . Part of group with Clergy House and Archbishop's
House, qv, and The Metropolitan Cathedral Church of the Most Precious Blood, Ashley
Gardens, qv.
