Long terrace of houses. c.1815-20 Portman Estate development. Stock
brick with channelled stucco ground floor; concealed slate roofs.
Slightly varied heights and frontage line. 4 storeys and basement.
2-window wide fronts, 3 windows wide at No. 33. Doorways to left,
principally semicircular arched (Nos. 27, 29 and 35 squareheaded);
panelled doors with pilaster jambs carrying cornice-heads beneath
fanlights, some patterned. Recessed glazing bar sashes, semicircular
arched to ground floors of Nos. 23 and 25, under flat gauged arches to
upper floors. Plat band over ground floor. Stone coped parapets. Cast
iron geometric-anthemion patterned balconies across 1st floors. Cast
iron area railings with pineapple and tasselled spearhead finials.
