Classical office building. Dated 1854. 4 storeys. 3 bays wide. Stucco. The
elevation is articulated by superimposed orders of pilasters each with a full
entablature. The ground and 1st floors have rusticated quoins with Doric and
Ionic pilasters respectively between the windows. The 2nd floor has modified
Corinthian pilasters, coupled at the corners. 1st and 2nd floor windows have
architrave surrounds, those to the 1st floor being pedimented. The 3rd floor is
treated as an attic with a balustrade above and central pedimented cartouche
containing the date. Simple entrance door with cornice. Return elevation in
glazed brick, articulated with moulded panels as blind window bays. Part of the
building lies within the City of London.
