St James's Park lodge. c.1840. Office of Works. Stock brick with Portland
stone dressings, slate roof. Functional, plain neo-classicism. One storey
on rectangular plan. 2-window sides and entrance flanked by windows in south end.
Panelled door with rectangular fanlight set in stone doorcase of Doric pilasters,
entablature and blocking course. Recessed glazing bar sashes in stone architraves.
Stone plinth and crowning stone frieze, cornice and blocking course. Hipped roof
with corniced chimney stacks.
