Terraced town house and shop. c.1790-1800 (mid C.20 shopfront) Portman
Estate development. Stock brick; concealed slate roof. 4 storeys. 3
windows wide, grouped in rhythm 2:1. Altered C.19 shop front across
ground floor with fascia flanked by consoles. Upper floors have recessed
sashes under flat gauged red brick arches. Parapet with stone coping.
Society of Arts plaque records apprenticeship here of Michael Faraday.
