School house. 1884 by J.L. Pearson, incorporating fragments of the C.11
Reredorter and built in part over the Dark Cloister, Great Cloisters q.v.
Red brick with stone dressings, slate roof. Neo-Tudor style. 3 storeys,
basement and mid C.20 dormered mansard. 4 windows wide with set back
portion to right. 4-centred arched doorway to left and similarly arched
ground floor windows to left of Dark Cloister opening. Upper floors have
square headed mullioned casements. Remains of Reredorter in basement and
in 1st floor.
