Terrace house 1726 by Edward Shepherd for himself. Brown brick, quoin blocked on
party line. Four storeys, basement and slated mansard attic with 2 dormers. Three
windows. Ground floor altered with arched windows set in rusticated arched recesses.
Entrance with rusticated arch. Revealed glazing bar sashes, those on first floor with
wrought iron balconies. Bracketed main cornice at third floor level; parapet with
coping. Wrought iron area railings and overthrow. Interior has good staircase reached
through vaulted hall, unusual detailing to cut treads and columnar balustrade - first
floor Ionic columned gallery. Original panelling ground, first floor main rooms and
Rococo plasterwork ceilings by Shepherd, etc.
