Terrace. Laid out c.1828. S P Cockerell for Trustees of Bishop of London.
Brown brick in Flemish bond, some painted. Channelled stucco ground floor.
Stucco 3rd floor sill band and cornice. 4 storeys and basement, each 2 bays
except No 17 of 3 bays. Round-arched recesses contain 6-panel doors flanked by
consoles, except No 17 which has attached Tuscan columns. Patterned fanlights to
Nos 17-22a. No 2 Porchester Place has a much altered C19 shop front. Sashes
with glazing bars (except Nos 8 and 10a) under flat gauged brick arches.
Decorative iron 1st floor balconies. Basement railings with arrow heads and urn
finials ramped up to flank steps to entrances.
