Pair of terraced houses with shops. c.1820, associated with the Gloucester
Place and Montagu Square developments. No. 114 stucco faced; No. 115 plum
brick; united by stucco cornice; concealed slate roofs. Narrow, 2-window
wide fronts. Mid C.19 stucco framed shop fronts; No. 114 altered; No. 115
with fascia flanked by enriched consoles. Upper floors have recessed
glazing bar sashes; the 1st and 2nd floor windows of No. 114 with cornices
and pateraed friezes flanked by small consoles; No. 115 with flat, gauged
red brick arches. Crowning stucco entablature to both fronts with
paterae-stopped frieze, moulded cornice and blocking course. No. 114 has
1st floor original cast iron balcony. Included for group value only.
