Terraced mansion. 1878-80 by E.A. Gruning, a rebuild of a pair of
late C18 houses. Portland ashlar faced, slate roof. Heavy classical
style. 4 storeys and basement. 4 windows wide. Central 2 storey
enclosed porch with engaged columns. Architraved sash windows with
cornices on consoles. Heavy cornice and balustered parapet. Bowed
and canted rear elevation to Park Lane. Elaborately heavy classical
detailing to interior with spacious stone staircase; alterations in
1938 by Gordon Jeeves.
