Row of 3 town houses. Early 1920s. Red brick with Portland stone
dressings, tiled roof. Well detailed neo-Georgian. 3 storeys and dormered
mansard. Each with 2-window wide front, the return of No. 59 to Tufton
Street 4 windows wide. Recessed, pedimented, entrances to right and same
doorway in return to 59 Tufton Street. Recessed box framed glazing bar
sashes under flat gauged arches with keystones. Stone cornice below
parapet with coping. Included as part of sensitive early C.20
redevelopment of this street and the west side of Smith Square.
