Terraced town houses. c.1790-1800 Portland Estate development continuing
Upper Wimpole Street. Stock brick with channelled stucco ground floors;
slate roofs. 4 storeys with dormered mansards or 5 storeys, on basements.
3-window wide fronts. Wide elliptical arched doorways to left except for
right hand one of No. 31; panelled doors, side lights, panelled jambs,
moulded doorheads, patterned fanlights. Recessed sashes, in stuccoed
reveals under flat gauged arches to upper floors. Plat band finishing off
stuccowork at 1st floor level. Parapet with coping, or crowning stucco
cornices. Cast iron geometric patterned cast iron balconies to 1st floor.
Cast iron area railings with urn finials.
