The date of 'Early C20' shall be amended to read '1905'. The following shall
be added to the end of the description;

Interior: All houses have mid C18 style dog-leg staircases with turned
balusters; ovolo-moulded Elizabethan-style stair windows, with Art Nouveau
patterns to eaves; panelled walls; stair halls have mid C18 style cornicing
and doorcases with enriched friezes . Fireplaces in all rooms are worked in
a variety of styles, mainly C18 but also with Elizabethan-style caryatids and
detailing to some; fine plasterwork ceilings to all first and second floor
rooms worked in a variety of styles from early C17 strapwork designs, to Queen
Anne and Neo-classical styles; major rooms are panelled; second-floor rooms are
plain. Nos 2 and 4 not inspected but noted as having similar interiors.

Irregular group of terraced houses. Early C20. Balfour and Turner. Portland
stone with some stock brick; tiled roof Byzantinizing Free Style. 4 storeys plus
roof storey except No 10 which of 3 storeys. Each house 3 windows wide.
Portland stone cladding from basement to second floor; stock brick above, with
red dressings. Segmental headed entrances (No 10 semicircular entrance with pair
of round headed windows to right). No 10 with broad 2 storey canted bay window.
No 2 with 3 storey canted bay window, gabled. Nos 4 to 8 with broad canted bay
windows to first floor, supported on squat pilasters with cushion capitals. Bay
windows with richly foliated cornices, and balustraded to Nos 2 to 8. Square
headed sashed windows, small panes, glazing bars; windows to third floor and
attic with segmental heads. Modillion cornice above second floor. Gable to each
house with attic windows. Return to right of No 2 pilastered. Wrought iron area
railings and lead down pipes and gutter-boxes of Arts and Crafts design.
