Grand terrace of houses. Circa 1825 onwards. Part of estate laid out and
largely designed by T. and L. Cubitt. Stucco. Roofs mainly not visible. Each
house 3 windows wide. 3 storeys, attic, further attic set back and basement.
Centre 3 and end pairs slightly set forward with giant Corinthian arches to first
and second floors; centre house with 5-bay projecting fluted Corinthian portico,
and houses adjacent to end houses with projecting 3-bay porticos. Continuous
Greek Doric colonnade to ground floor, surmounted by stucco balustrade. Square
headed windows, sashed; French casements to first floor. Plate glass. Dentil
cornice above second floor, subsidiary cornice above third. Grand porticoed
returns. Spearhead area railings.
