Grand terrace of houses. Circa 1825-30. Seth Smith. Stock brick and stucco. 3
storeys and basement; C20 roof extension, almost invisible. Each house 3 windows
wide. End pairs of houses set forward slightly with giant order of Corinthian
half columns rising through first and second storeys. Projecting Greek Doric
porches and round headed windows in round headed reveals to ground floor.
Continuous cast iron balcony to first floor. Square headed windows, gauged
heads, sashes, plate glass. Stucco. Cornice above second floor and subsidiary
cornice to attic. No 52 rebuilt to altered design. Area railings.
