Row of houses. Early C19. Brick, channelled stucco to ground floor. Roof not
visible. 4 storeys and basement. Each 2 windows wide. (Nos 30, 38 and 40 of 3
storeys; No 28 of 3 storeys, 3 windows wide.) Round headed entrances, panelled
doors. No 40 with C20 shopfront. Square gauged headed windows, mostly sashed
and mostly retaining glazing bars. First floor cast iron anthemion balconettes;
(that is, No 28 of different pattern; No 36 without). Parapets. Cast iron area
railings.
