Terrace of houses. Mid C19. Portland stone faced. Balanced composition, nos
12, 12A, 21 and 22, and 16 to 18 breaking forward slightly. Five storeys plus
basements. Some mansard attics. Each house three windows wide. Channelling to
ground floor. Paired porches with Corinthian piers and inset arches. Slanted
bows to ground floor. First floor windows pedimented. Continuous first floor
balcony of cast iron. Cornices to second and third floor windows. All windows
square headed with architraves. Sashes and casements; plate glass. Dentil
cornice, partly simplified. Cast iron area railings. Part of coherent
development on four sides of garden square.
