Row of houses stepping downhill. Mid Cl9. Stucco. Channelling to ground
floor. Each house three windows wide; four storeys and basements; mansard attics
to some. Entrances in projecting Doric porches. Square headed windows except to
third floor, which segmental headed. Architraves to windows. First floor
windows grouped as triplets under common cornice with central pediment to each
house. Cast iron balconies to first floor. Stucco cornice, rich where intact
(to Nos 44, 51, 54 and 56), but mainly simplified. Cast iron area railings.
Part of coherent development with 1 to 34 consec, Ennismore Gardens.
