Terrace house. c. 1675. Stock brick front with red rubbed brick
dressings, slate roof, stylistically more of the 1720s. 4 storeys and
basement. 3 windows wide. Probably late C18 semicircular arched door-
way with 6 panel door and radial glazed fanlight to right and 2 windows
with segmental arches, that to the left converted to doorway. Upper
floors have slightly recessed exposed frame sashes, with glazing bars,
under segmental gauged rubbed brick arches and with rubbed dressings.
Moulded brick cornice beneath attic storey, parapet with coping.
Wrought iron area railings. Interior retains elements of 1st floor
panelling and cornices and part of similar staircase to that of No 23.
No 24 is the oldest surviving building in the square.
