Terraced town houses. c1822-25, probably by John White for Portlmd Estate. Stock brick
with channelled stucco ground floors; slate roofs. 4 storeys, basement
and dormered mansards. 3-window wide fronts. Broad semicircular arched
doorways to left with Coade stone rustications and head keystones; double
panelled doors in Grecian pilaster jambs, and fanlights, some patterned.
Recessed sashes in stucco architraves to 1st floor and under flat gauged
arches above. 1st floor plat band; parapets with copings; No. 127 with
bracketed cornice. Cast iron geometric patterned balconies across 1st
floors. Cast iron area railings with pineapple finials. Interiors with
top lit stone geometrical staircases with cast iron balustrades, No. 127
with Grecian detailed plasterwork, marble chimneypieces; etc.
