School. Datestone reads: "WALMSLEY/SCHOOL/AD 1851" with runic inscription beneath; extension of 1906. Rock-faced stone with slate roof. One storey, six bays, the end bay recessed and lower, with three-bay extension adjoining. Cornice and coped gables. Tudor-headed windows have label moulds and small-paned glazing with opening lights. Gabled porch with ball finial and Tudor-headed entrance with label mould and eight-panel door, plaque over. Segmental-headed entrance to sixth bay. Octagonal gable-end stacks and central louvre. Extension has large casement windows and is of no special interest. Included for group value.
