1853, by Thomas Holt of Bury, replacing earlier chapels of ease dating back to at
least 1400. Parish status 1866. Cut and quarry-face rubble, with ashlar dressings.
Neo-Gothic. Chancel, tall nave, lean-to aisles and west tower with angle buttresses,
2-light window in narrower upper stage and broach spire with lucarnes. Trefoil windows
to 4-bay nave. Interior includes a carved oak panelled reredos and a relief carving of Nativity to the altar.
