Church of St Anne


1799. Rectangular and plain. Classical. Stone, with quoins and square wooden bell-
cote on west gable front, which has 2 arched windows with jambs, imposts and keystones
above 2 arched doorways (with plain fanlights) framed by Tuscan pilasters supporting
elementary cornice-pediments. Clock face in head of gable. 2 tiers of 4 arched win-
dows along sides similar to those of front. Later reticulated 5-light Gothic east
window. Interior has gallery on 3 sides, with Greek detail, on wooden piers. Wooden
