on north side of bowling
green east of Tottington
Hall

Inscribed: "The Nuttall of Tottington Gent built this School in the year 1715 and
Endowed it with 3 pound per annum. Peter Baron of Walshaw Gent in the year 1733
Endowed it with 9 pound per Annum. In the year 1774 an additional bay was erected
by voluntary contributions." Removed from school in Kirklees Street.
