War memorial. c.l919. Designed by Gordon Forsyth of Royal
Lancastrian Pottery. Ashlar. Sculpted lion sits on tall
tapering square shaft with base and capital. The shaft bears
a cross with rolls of honour and an inscription: "To the
memory of the men of Clifton who died for freedom".
