cottage to

House. 1747 on lintel but with later additions and
alterations. Hammer-dressed watershot stone with graduated
stone slate roof. L-shaped single-depth 2-storey plan with
later addition within angle and cottage attached. Dressed
quoins and eaves cornice. Central door with dressed surround
flanked by C19 2-light windows and with 4 and 3-light
double-chamfered cavetto-moulded mullion windows on the
first floor. Gable chimney stacks. The gable entrance has an
enriched dated lintel with fleur-de-lys and other motifs.
Blocked arched attic light. The rear range has a 5 and 2-
light window as above. The attached cottage which fronts
onto the north-east has a projecting plinth and is of more
regular masonry. Symmetrical elevation with four 16-pane
sash windows about a central door. The rear is similar but
the ground floor windows are blind.
