Includes No. 4 and 6 Woods Lane (south-east side). Late C18.
Hammer-dressed watershot stone with graduated stone slate
roof. Total of 4 bays and 3 storeys. Bay 1 projects, has a
canted corner with large quoins on Woods Lane and 4 or 5-
light recessed flat-faced mullion windows on each floor of
the Church Fields elevation. Bays 2 and 3 have quoins, doors
to the left with square-cut stone surrounds, 4 and 3-light
recessed chamfered mullion ground foor windows, two 5-light
recessed flat-faced mullion first floor windows and a top
storey which is of a later date and has a 15-light recessed
flat-faced mullion workshop window with king mullions. Bay 4
is set back, has a door with dressed surround, a window with
mullion removed on ground foor and a 4-light recessed
chamfered mullion window on the upper floors. Many of the
mullions have been rendered over. Ridge and gable chimney
stacks,2 rebuilt in brick.
