2 houses. Late C18 and early C19. Hammer-dressed watershot
stone with graduated stone slate and slate roofs. Each
cottage is double-depth with one bay and 3 storeys. No. 52
has a gable entrance with dressed surround. Four 2-light
recessed flat-faced stone mullions and a blocked dove-cote
to gable. The south-facing elevation has ashlar quoins and
5, 5 and 6-light windows as above. Gable chimney stack. 2
and 6-light windows to rear. No. 54 has a gable entrance
obscured by C20 porch, a square-cut door surround and quoins
to the north elevation, and three 6-light recessed chamfered
stone mullion windows to the south. Gable chimney stack.
