Former laithe-house, the barn having been converted to
accommodation. "IBNB 1737" (John Buckley) on door lintel but
with later alterations and additions. Hammer-dressed
watershot stone with slate roof. 2-unit 2-storey plan with
former barn to left and additional bay to right. The barn
has been largely rebuilt and had windows inserted.The
original house has 3, 4 and 2-light ground floor windows and
3 and 3-light first floor windows all with double-chamfered
cavetto-moulded mullions. The right bay was added in mid C18
and has 5 and 4-light recessed cavetto-moulded mullion
windows. 2, 3 and 4-light gable windows and 1, 2 and 3-light
to rear. Blocked winnowing door to rear of barn. Ridge and
gable chimney stacks. Quoins. Evidence internally of the
former existence of a smoke hood.
