Shop/house. Late C18/early C19. Hammer-dressed watershot stone
in narrow courses with graduated stone slate roof. 2 bays and
2 storeys with former workshop at basement level. Central 6-
panel door is approached by stone steps and a raised platform
with cast-iron railings: it has an overlight and is flanked by
multi-paned bow windows beneath a continuous moulded hood. 5-
light recessed flat-faced mullion first floor window with
later sash window to left. Door to basement level has
inscribed but unreadable lintel and 5-light window with 2
mullions removed. 4-light window (as above) to each floor of
rear and a door with square-cut surround. Brick ridge chimney
stack.
