5/193 Lane Head
- Farmhouse
Farmhouse now house. Late C18. Hammer-dressed watershot
stone with C20 tile roof. Single-depth plan with 4 bays, 2
storeys and a lean-to addition to rear. Bays 2 to 4 have
quoins, 5 and 4-light ground floor windows and three 3-light
first floor windows. Bay 1 was added later and has a 5-light
window on each floor. All windows have recessed flat-faced
stone mullions. Gable chimney stack. 2-light windows to left
gable-end which also has a door with square-cut surround and
a C20 window. 4-light recessed cavetto-moulded mullion
window to rear, appearing to be of an earlier date. Also a
5-light window with recessed flat-faced mullions.
