Farmhouse and cottage. Mid and late C18 with C20 extension.
Hammer-dressed watershot stone with C20 tile roof. Total of
3 bays with 3 storeys, a 2 storey l-bay wing to right, a C20
2-storey wing to left and a parallel range to rear which
would appear to be late C18. The 3-storey elevation has 4-
light windows to bays 1 and 2 with recessed flat-faced
ground floor mullions and recessed chamfered mullions on the
upper floors. Bay 3 has a 6-light recessed cavetto-moulded
mullion window on each floor; quoins and a continuous first
floor dripmould which carries on into bay 4. Door with
square-cut door surround between bays 2 and 3 and later door
(to the Cottage) between bays 1 and 2. Bay 4 has door to
left with square-cut surround and 6-light recessed cavetto-
moulded mullion windows on each floor. Rendered ridge
chimney stack. The rear range has quoins and continuous rows
of recessed flat-faced mullion windows on each of 3 floors,
many of which are blocked. Bulletin of the Saddleworth
