Row of seven houses. Early C19. Hammer-dressed watershot stone
with graduated stone slate roof, partly replaced by C20
tile. Each house is double-depth and has three storeys and two
bays (apart from No. 1 which has 1 bay). Each house has a
door with dressed surround, sash windows on the upper floors
with square-cut stone surround and tripartite sash windows
on each floor of the other bays. Most sashes have now been
replaced by C20 casements and a shop window inserted to No.
3. Shaped eaves gutter brackets and ridge chimney stacks.
Each house at the rear generally has 4, 5 or 6-light
recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows with king mullions
on each floor, a blocked taking-in door and a later lean-to
extension.
