Ashlar with slate roof. 8 bays with 2 and 3 storeys and
conservatory to right. Gothic revival. Projecting plinth.
Gables to bays 1, 2 and 3 and castellations to bays 6 to 9
create a distinctive skyline. 3-storey projecting porch to
bay 6 with castellations, diagonal buttresses, pointed arch
doorway and glazed inner door with carved decorative
tracery. Square and canted bay windows to bays 2 and 9, bay
2 with shouldered mullion and transom windows, bay 9 with
cusped mullion and transom windows. Other ground floor
windows are 4 and 5-light shouldered head mullion windows,
and 4-light cusped pointed arch windows. Bay 1 has a
corbelled gabled first floor oriel window. Bays 2 and 3 and
bays 8 and 9 project. First floor windows are of 1, 2 and 4
lights, some with pointed arches and 2 with tracery. The
gables are coped. Gargoyles. Blind corbelled oriel to left
gable. Ridge chimney stacks with cornices. Interior includes
encaustic tiles and stained glass among other original
features.
