Farmhouse and
adjoining barn
- to west
House and adjoining barn. Barn - "IBM 1678" (Isaac and Mary
Buckley) on door lintel, house - "EB 1845" (Edmond Buckley)
on datestone. Hammer-dressed stone with graduated stone
slate (house) and slate (barn) roofs. Double-depth central-
staircase plan house with 2 storeys. The barn adjoins to
left having opposed cart entries, shippon to left and C20
addition to right. Central door has re-used lintel dated
"MBIB 1656", a chamfered surround and fanlight, and is
flanked on either side by 3-light recessed flat-faced stone
mullion windows with a central 1-light window on the first
floor. Coped gables and gable chimney stacks. The rear
incorporates two 2-light double-chamfered stone mullion
windows (one mullion missing) indicating reuse or
remodelling of a former building. The barn has stone quoins,
a projecting plinth and outshuts to either side of the cart
entry. 2 doors (one blocked) to left gable have chamfered
surrounds and a dated lintel.Vents on 3 levels to rear and
blocked cart entry which has chamfered dressings. C20 roof
